We are so glad you asked!  People think it's so complicated to connect to God.  The truth is it's very simple... not easy, but simple.  Connecting to God is not easy because He asks us to lay down our pride, recognize that we are sinful, and look to Him who is the only One who can help us.

Here's the simple part...
Jesus said in Mark 1:15, "The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!"
Repent means "to turn away from".  So you must "turn away from" your sins.  The Good News is that God sent his son, Jesus, to earth to die on a cross for you.  Jesus paid the price for your sins.  He died so you wouldn't have to.  And because of what he did, when you believe, you are no longer separated from God.  You are now connected to Him.  Saved from a life separated from God.

If you want to be connected to God, here's how.
Turn away from sin, turn to God, and believe the Good News.

Here's a prayer to help...

"Jesus, I thank you for dying on a cross for me.  I turn to you as my Lord and Saviour.  I lay down my pride and recognize that I am sinful and need your help.  I receive your grace to forgive me and your love to change me.  Thank you for your amazing love.  Now that I belong to you, you promise to live in me.  And I will live my life, receiving the wonders of your love."
